MDA Fight Night – June 2005
In June 2005 MDA Sports staged its biggest and boldest event to date. A White Collar Boxing evening staged at the legendary York Hall saw 17 members of London’s Jewish community – who had trained for 3 months for the event – most of whom were complete novices – fight in a thrilling 11 bout 3 X 2 minute round event. The evening which was attended by former boxing greats, Mickey Duff, Lou Lazar, Sammy McCarthy, Spencer Oliver and many more former Jewish fighting heroes drew a crowd of nearly 1000 people. It is thought that this is a record attendance for an amateur Jewish sporting event in the UK and this helped raise profits of approximately £25,000 which will be donated directly to the MDA National Blood Centre in Tel Hashomer.
MDA Sports Supper Quiz – March 2005
Following the huge success of the first evening, MDA Sports staged their second annual Sports Supper Quiz in the Freeman Sussman Hall of Stanmore Synagogue on Thursday 17 March 2005. The money was donated to the MDA National Blood Centre in Tel Hashomer.

The evening which was hosted by Richard Kaufman was attended by Pini Zahavi.
